New Years Eve, It’s a thing.

It’s when Harry told Sally he loved her. It’s inspired movies like New Years Eve. It’s when Time Square is most alive with love and engagements. It’s when the ball drops and signals that we have ushered in a New Year!

So, we thought that we would give you a sneak peek of what is in the store. Enjoy!

Country Road Treasure

Hey Friends!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend with friends and family! I had the privilege of celebrating Easter at the Beach with my family and boyfriend. We had a great time. On the way to Florida, my boyfriend and I found the cutest little country store on the side of the road in Dozier, Alabama. We literally pulled a U-turn and got out to see what treasures were to be found! It was FULL of old vintage signs and old gasoline pumps!

The place, called “Jackson’s Country Store”,  is owned and run by two brothers, and they sell different odds and ends made by a guy who lives down the street. I thought it was charming, but my boyfriend was in heaven! A lover of all things “Southern” and “old”, he wanted to buy the entire store.

I asked Roger, the brother, if I could take a few pictures to show y’all just how cute the store was, and he agreed. So, enjoy! Oh, and feel free to call them up at 1-800-850-3779. They’ll be happy to fix you up with whatever you’re looking for!

Look What I Found…

Happy Spring Everyone!

Sorry that it has been a little while since I’ve blogged to y’all–I was gone with a sorority sister for Spring Break. But I am back now, and much much tanner and much much happier than when I left!

So, I am blogging to tell you that I was sitting in class the other day, and I turned around to find the cutest little Dooney and Bourke bag! “I love your purse!” I said to the girl behind me. “Oh, thanks! It was actually my aunt’s in the ’70′s. I found it in the top of my closet one day.”

Isn’t that such a stroke of luck? Finding a vintage bag in your closet that is actually in fantastic shape and super cute. So, what’s the moral of the story? You never know what you’re going to find if you rummage around “old things” in your house.

So do it! And let us know what you find.

Make someone smile today!

Cuffs Galore

All these amazing cuffs by Made in the Deep South.

Designer Michela Swafford (above)  lives and works in Alabama.  In her own words…”I’m just a little ol’ southern girl from the deep south who likes to make pretty things. I always had a creative side while growing up, that was nurtured by my Mom. After I quit working and became a mommy myself, I found the urge to use that creativity rising more and more often. But- I also found myself feeling self conscience under the watchful eyes of those that had always known me. So, an unexpected move allowed me to reinvent myself without the presence of those very eyes. (Of course all of that could have just been imagined on my own part). Now I find myself back home and ready to be the real me no matter what.

These are my latest little ideas. I create them in my studio that can be found on My Kitchen Table Lane and in my satellite studio on My Front Seat Drive( while waiting for my kids soccer practice to end).
Each piece is one of a kind. I use vintage/antique brooches and shoe clips, recycled leather belts, and hand crafted leather bracelets. There is a real juxtaposition in the materials used but it seems to work for me. After wearing my bracelets around town and having people ask where I bought them, it must work for others too! That being said, I’ve decided to give this a spin. So, here I go.”  She’s great and so is her jewelry!  Come check out our selection at Molly Green!
